A look at teaching sex ed in schools.

A controversial school field trip earlier this year to a sex novelty shop threw the issue into the headlines and renewed the debate around what to teach students about sexual health.

MPR News with Tom Weber is joined by Lynn Bretl teaches at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health and also consults with schools across the state on their sex ed programs.

And Starri Hedges heads that Minneapolis school that made the field trip. It's a private school near the Walker Art Center called Gaia Democratic School.
