The University of Minnesota's Hubert Humphrey School of Public Affairs hosted a day-long symposium Monday about the plight of North Korean refugees. 

MPR News reporter Doualy Xaykaothao talked to Hyon Kim, the organizer of that symposium, about her connection to both North and South Korea.  

Kim is also a former member of the University of Minnesota Board of Regents.
