Inver Grove Heights man charged in fatal crash
Prosecutors have charged an Inver Grove Heights man accused of driving drunk in a weekend crash that killed a woman.
Twenty-one-year-old Nicholas Anthony Indehar appeared in Dakota County court Tuesday on two counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
Indehar is charged in Saturday's crash in Inver Grove Heights that killed 42-year-old Kim Marie Caswell of Roseville.
Officers arrived to find two vehicles on the sidewalk -- a Cadillac, which had front-end damage, and a Honda minivan, which was pushed into a utility pole.
Caswell, the minivan driver, died at the scene. The driver of the Cadillac, identified as Indehar, was walking near the vehicles.
KSTP-TV reports Indehar smelled of alcohol. Police say they found an open bottle of rum in the Cadillac.
Indehar is due back in court Nov. 24.
