St. Paul woman, 49, dies after car runs over her

St. Paul police are looking for a vehicle they say ran over a woman lying in the street.

Police say Antoinette Boxer of St. Paul was found by passersby lying on University Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday. As they tried to help her and dialed 911, a gray, four-door sedan ran over the 49-year old woman.

Police say the car did not slow down and continued heading west on University, then turned south on Dale Street.

Boxer was taken to Regions Hospital. She died the next day.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner is trying to determine the exact cause of death.

St. Paul Police are asking for help in identifying the driver of the car, as well as information on why Boxer was in the street.
