Clear skies before Antarctic storms brush southern Australia.

Cold air masses from Antarctica reach northward to southern Australia and its 100-degree highs. It's leading to high winds and severe weather warnings along the south of Australia. Snow in Tasmania's higher elevations has been reported as the system moves northward.
North of Australia, many of the Indonesian islands can be distinguished by the cloud clinging to them as well as Papua New Guinea.
The northern tip of New Zealand can be seen peeking out from heavy clouds.
