Jesson reflects on five years at DHS Commissioner
The state office that arguably more Minnesotans interact with than any other is changing leaders.
Lucinda Jesson wrapped up her five-year tenure on Monday as Human Services Commissioner. She's leaving for the bench; Governor Mark Dayton appointed her to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
On Wednesday, she spoke with MPR's Tom Weber to discuss her time at DHS and the man issues that were front and center during her time, including the state's Sex Offender Program, safety issues at the Minnesota Security Hospital, and child care facility oversight.
