People are putting up Christmas trees earlier. That's the anecdotal conclusion from the Hansen brothers - Dave & Mark. They own the Hansen Tree Farm, which has a history dating back more than 60 years and was the first-ever Christmas tree farm in the state.
Before tree farms - places set aside purposely to raise trees for cutting during the holiday season - people often went to the woods themselves to find a tree or purchased them from florists and garden stores.
The Hansen brothers talked about everything from tree biology and proper watering technique to what species of trees are most popular, during a conversation with MPR's Tom Weber.
