7 ships expected to spend winter in Duluth-Superior port

The Coast Guard Cutter Alder passes under the Aerial Lift Bridge in Duluth Jan. 14, 2013. The Soo Locks are scheduled to close for the season on Friday, and the Duluth Seaway Port Authority says seven ships will spend the winter in the Twin Ports.
