Critics of Minnesota's precinct caucus system are once again calling for the state to do away with the voting system, after long lines and overcrowding plagued caucus sites across the state Tuesday night.
Opponents have long argued the system is too complicated, informal and inaccessible to many likely voters. But supporters say the caucus is a grassroots tradition, allowing newcomers a gateway into the political system.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Republican state Rep. Pat Garofalo, who has been critical of the system.
