Author Pat Conroy, best known for "The Prince of Tides," died earlier this week at age 70.

In honor of his work, we are revisiting one of his 2013 interviews with MPR News host Kerri Miller for Talking Volumes.

Conroy was no stranger to incorporating his personal experience into his writing. His books covered his tumultuous and abusive childhood. At Talking Volumes, he was fresh off the publication of "The Death of Santini," which addressed his complicated relationship with his father.
