'Wild Thing' cover was No. 1 hit
Today's Morning Edition music is from the infamous rendition of "Wild Thing" by the Troggs, which was recorded 50 years ago this week.
It would eventually make it to No. 1 on the pop charts.
This is actually a cover version. It was originally recorded a year earlier by a New York-based band called The Wild Ones. Their version was not a hit.
