A man is dead following a serious multi-vehicle crash that closed part of eastbound Interstate 94 during Twin Cities rush hour Monday.
The driver of a Chevrolet Blazer was heading west when she crossed through the median near where I-94 intersects with Highway 280, striking a Volvo going the opposite way, State Patrol Lt. Tiffani Nielson said.

The man driving the Volvo died on the scene, and the Blazer's driver was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with critical injuries, Nielson said.
The crash pushed the Volvo into a Metro Transit bus, Nielson said, and some passengers reported minor injuries.
State Troopers are investigating the crash's cause.
