Sir Paul meets 2 women who helped inspire 'Blackbird'

Today's Morning Edition music feature is "Blackbird" by The Beatles, a song written by Paul McCartney.

Tonight is the second night of Sir Paul's two-night stand at Target Center in Minneapolis. When he performed in Little Rock, Ark., on Saturday, McCartney met two of the women who inspired the song. They were part of the Little Rock Nine, a group of black students who enrolled at the all-white Little Rock Central High School in 1957. The students were temporarily blocked from entering the school by the National Guard which had been deployed by Arkansas Gov. Orval Faubus.
