Mars is a harsh, unforgiving landscape inhospitable to humans. But you'd never know it from the recruiting posters.
Hoping to kindle public interest in the red planet, NASA in 2009 commissioned a series of "Mars Explorers Wanted" posters for an exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
This week, they were made available for anyone to view and download.
Humans have been intently watching Mars since they first saw it in the night sky. Public and private sector explorers are working on the science of actually sending humans to Mars, but they aren't there yet.
So while martian employment opportunities remain up in the air, the posters at least can now be downloaded for free.
