A Minnesota Public Radio documentary about Freedom Summer. In 1964, young people--both black and white--traveled through Mississippi to register voters and set up schools. Many were harassed, some were beaten, and three young men were killed by the Klan. The documentary was produced in 1994 by John Biewen and Kate Cavett and narrated by Julian Bond.
