Bryan Stevenson speaks on the importance of learning our racial history in America and the need for truth and reconciliation. He says the great evil of American slavery wasn't involuntary servitude, it was the narrative of racial differences that we created to sustain it. He believes this led to terrorism, then segregation, and now a presumption of "dangerousness and guilt."

Stevenson is founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. He spoke with historian and Harvard University president Drew Gilpin Faust at the Aspen Ideas Festival June 29, 2016.
