In the month since the shooting death of Philando Castile, Counter Stories host Don Eubanks has wondered: "How do we really use these events to make substantial changes when the majority of individuals can go back to their normal routine and not have to think or deal with it?"

For many people, life has returned to normal — now that the protests have diminished and the Castile story is no longer the top headline. The Counter Stories hosts asked: Are we missing something that could help keep the conversation focused on reforms? And are there counter narratives that haven't received enough attention that could help?

Counter Stories hosts Anthony Galloway, Luz Maria Frias, Don Eubanks and Hlee Lee discussed these issues with a live audience at Golden Thyme Coffee and Cafe in St. Paul.
