Highway 100, 280 closures top Twin Cities weekend road woes

Yes, Minnesota Highway 100 will be a hassle this weekend in the west metro but perhaps not as bad as first thought.

Officials had initially indicated both directions would be closed. But the Minnesota Department of Transportation's updated map of Twin Cities weekend road closures now shows that a single lane going northbound will stay open.

From 10 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Saturday, southbound Highway 100 between Minnesota Highway 62 and Interstate 394 will be completely closed. Northbound Highway 100 between Excelsior Boulevard and Minnetonka Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane.

Minnesota Highway 280, St. Paul

Northbound Highway 280 will be closed for resurfacing between Como Avenue and Interstate 35W starting at 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Minnesota Highway 52, Cannon Falls, Hampton

Highway 52 closes starting at 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday between Minnesota Highway 50 in Hampton to Minnesota Highway 19 in Cannon Falls as part of the Dakota County Road 86 project.
