Major League Soccer begins in Minnesota this March
Minnesota United FC is moving up to Major League Soccer for the 2017 season. MLS Commissioner Dan Garber announced the decision last Friday.
The move is contingent on a new stadium being built just west of downtown St. Paul. The team will play at the TCF Bank Stadium until that new stadium is ready.
Brian Quarstad joined MPR News host Tom Weber for an update on Major League Soccer in Minnesota, and a look at what's coming in the next few months for local fans. Quarstad is the co-owner, writer and editor of FiftyFive. One: Voices from Soccer's North.
