Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson made a campaign stop in Wisconsin where a new poll shows about three-quarters of state residents don't know enough about him to form an opinion.
Johnson thanked the crowd for showing up at Serb Hall in Milwaukee Thursday on a night in which the Green Bay Packers were wrapping up the preseason.
Johnson is polling at 11 percent in Wisconsin according to the latest Marquette University poll. The former Republican governor of New Mexico is trying to push that number to 15 percent. If five national polls show him at 15 percent he will win a spot in the presidential debates.
The Journal Sentinel says Johnson talked up libertarian principles of being fiscally conservative and socially inclusive. He promoted an agenda that is anti-tax, small-government, pro-choice and free trade.
