Authorities say a person walking along a highway in northern Minnesota has been struck and killed.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a Detroit Lakes man driving a pickup truck hit the pedestrian along Highway 59 in Becker County about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
The patrol says the pedestrian was walking north on the shoulder of the highway near Brolin Beach Rd. The 38-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger in the pickup were not injured.
