School bus collides with pickup, slams into St. Paul house
A school bus carrying students from a St. Paul middle school collided with a pickup truck on the East Side Friday afternoon.
The bus then slammed into a house in the 700 block of Geranium Avenue. The truck came to a rest on its side and against the same house.
Bridget McMahon lives nearby and saw the bus crashed into a house.
"I ran over, myself and somebody else who had come upon the scene, opened up the back door of the bus and got the kids out and tried to contained them in one area and tried to figured out who was injured," McMahon said.
Seven of the 34 students from Highland Middle School were transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Police say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be involved.
