Today's Morning Edition music is from 30 years ago when "Venus" by Bananarama was No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart.

It was the British girl group's first and only No. 1 song.

"Venus" also topped the charts in 1970 when it was released by the Dutch group Shocking Blue.

The hit by Bananarama made "Venus" only the fourth song in the rock era to top the charts by two different artists. The others were "Go Away Little Girl," "The Loco-Motion," and "Please Mr. Postman."
