Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday, and she has canceled campaign events to rest on the advice of her doctor.

What exactly does pneumonia do to a body?

Dr. Jon Hallberg, MPR News' regular medical analyst, joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann to talk about the ailment.

They also talked about the recent rise of Legionnaires' disease, another lung-related sickness. Last week, there were five cases diagnosed in Hopkins that the state Department of Health is investigating.
