Monday marks the first presidential debate of the election and we invited three smart people into the studio for a voter's guide to debunking the debates.

They discussed what they'll be watching for, what questions they would ask if they were the moderator and what they hope to hear, but probably won't.

Peter Bell, senior fellow at the Center of the American Experiment, Jorge Saavedra, founder of Saavedra Law Firm, and Nausheena Hussain, co-founder and executive director of RISE, joined MPR News host, Kerri Miller for the discussion.
