Somali community members in St. Cloud are growing restless with the lack of fresh information on the investigation into why a man stabbed 10 people in a shopping mall before being shot and killed by an off-duty police officer.

Abdul Kulane, who was a 2014 City Council candidate, writes in the St. Cloud Times that releasing security video from the night of Sept. 17 when 20-year-old Dahir Adan was killed would help the community see for itself what happened. He says questions likely will linger until the video is public.

The FBI has taken the lead in the investigation into Adan and whether there was any terrorist connection.

Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall says the investigation is progressing toward a time when the video, and more, will be released.
