Traffic could be slow this weekend, most notably in the southwest metro area, where the Ryder Cup is in full swing.

And construction is underway that could cause some serious headaches in other parts of the state this weekend.

Minnesota Highway 212, Chaska

The clogs will likely be at their worst on southbound U.S. Highway 169 from Interstate 494 to Canterbury Road, Minnesota Highway 101 westbound in Shakopee and state highways 41 and 212 eastbound through Chaska.

The Ryder Cup plays out at Hazeltine National Golf Club through Sunday.

Westbound I-694, Minneapolis

Beginning 10 p.m. Friday and continuing through 5 a.m. Monday, westbound I-694 will be closed between I-35W and Hwy 252.

There is an additional weekend closure scheduled for Oct. 7-10.

Interstate 35E bridges, St. Paul

The Randolph Avenue bridge between Chatsworth Street South and Lexington Parkway South is closed in both directions until 5 p.m. Friday for scheduled maintenance.

Minnesota Highway 3, Farmington

Northbound road closure between East Willow Street in Farmington to 160th Street near Rosemont from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until Sunday evening.

Minnesota Highway 7, St. Louis Park

MN 7 is closed in both directions between Wooddale Avenue and Beltline Boulevard in St. Louis Park due to bridge work. The road will remain closed until Nov. 15.
