Today's Morning Edition music is from Bob Dylan with "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere." We learned Wednesday that Mr. Dylan ain't goin' to Stockholm next month to pick up his Nobel Prize for Literature.

A representative of the Swedish Academy, which awards the Nobel prizes, announced that it had received a letter from Dylan saying he was unable to attend the award ceremony on Dec. 10 "due to pre-existing commitments."

He will join a short list of Nobel Prize winners who chose not to attend the ceremony. To collect the million-dollar prize, though, he must give a Nobel lecture within the next six months.
