Body found in Mendota Heights identified as missing man
Mendota Heights police had been searching for Joseph Michael Hernandez since a friend reported him missing from a local motel on Nov. 7.

A body found in a wooded area in Mendota Heights has been identified as 35 year-old Joseph Michael Hernandez.
Cause and manner of death are pending further investigation by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner and Dakota County Sheriff's Office.
Police say a hiker on Thanksgiving Day found the body in the Dodge Nature Preserve just east of Interstate 35E and south of Minnesota Highway 110.
