Pioneer Press reporters seek new owner for newspaper

Dave Orrick, a reporter with the Pioneer Press, talked about the future of the St. Paul newspaper.

Since 2012, the Pioneer Press has seen more than 60 jobs cut — half of them from the newsroom — and there is talk of further job losses.

Journalists at the Pioneer Press are speaking out against the current owners. Working with the Pioneer Press Guild Workers, journalists are now calling for new ownership.

TwinCities.com/Pioneer Press issued the following statement about the call for new ownership: "At TwinCities.com/Pioneer Press, we have a constructive working relationship with our Guild members. We do not, however, share union members' views on questions of ownership."
