Authorities ID child victim in apparent murder-suicide in Faribault
Authorities have identified an 8-year-old girl killed in what they believe was a murder-suicide in Faribault.
Police say the bodies of Lynnaya Stoddard-Espinoza and 33-year-old Ryan Perrizo were found inside a home Sunday, and a handgun was found next to Perrizo's body.
Both had been shot. Autopsies are pending.
Police say Perrizo and his late wife had been legal guardians of Stoddard-Espinoza since 2012.
Local and state authorities are continuing to investigate.
