Around 5 p.m. Sunday, residents and businesses began reporting a drop in water pressure. The city then opened an emergency operations center.

City officials say it's unknown if Sunday's outage is related to last month's loss of water.

Five weeks ago on Sunday, Jan. 8, the city reported an early morning failure of the city's water delivery system. Schools were closed the following Monday and residents were urged to boil their water.

Blaine has around 64,000 residents.
