It's a track from "50 Song Memoir" the latest concept album created by the band's leader Stephin Merritt. 

Each of the 50 songs represents a year in his life. It starts with this song, which describes his conception in the Virgin Islands and nomadic early years. 

The five-CD set will be released on Friday, but you can listen to a different disc from it every day this week on NPR's 

The Magnetic Fields will be performing all 50 songs over two nights at St. Paul's Fitzgerald Theater on April 22-23.
