Patti Smith to perform iconic album at Northrop

Today's Morning Edition music is from Patti Smith's version of "Gloria" from her highly-acclaimed debut album "Horses."
Rolling Stone placed it at No. 44 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
Smith told NPR that she was trying "to make a record that would make a certain type of person not feel alone. People who were like me, different."
In honor of the 40th anniversary of its release, Smith will be performing the album in it's entirety Wednesday at Northrop in Minneapolis.
