With unofficial holidays like National Puppy Day, Talk Like a Pirate Day and National Pickle Day being observed across the nation — at least online — there seems to be an opportunity to celebrate just about everything.
There's even a day for creating holidays. Sunday, March 26, was National Make Up Your Own Holiday Day.
It's a day to give a tip of the hat to our favorite unofficial holidays — such as Sorry Charlie Day or Take Your Houseplant for a Walk Day. It's also an opportunity to get creative and think about what parts of life deserve a little more consideration, whether it's personally significant or just for the fun of it.
