17-year-old girl killed in shooting on St. Paul's East side

A 17-year-old girl was shot and killed Friday evening on St. Paul's east side.

St. Paul police say Keyira Nunn of St. Paul was shot in the chest while riding as a passenger in a car near the intersection of Third Street East and Van Dyke Street, near White Bear Avenue. The shooting happened around 5 p.m. on Friday.

Nunn was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner called her death a homicide. St. Paul police are still investigating the shooting.
