What side of the Lowry Tunnel will I be going through today?
 

 
That seems to be the game lately as the Minnesota Department of Transportation does its work in and around the Minneapolis Interstate 94 tunnel. Another lane shift starts Friday.
 
 

 
That's likely the biggest challenge this weekend. Check the MnDOT site for 

all the highway closures around the Twin Cities

. Also remember: The Stillwater Lift Bridge is now closed to all traffic.
 

 
Here are the top driving hassles this weekend.
 
 

 
• Early Friday, traffic on I-94 at the Lowry Tunnel shifts to the westbound side until mid-September. Drivers will see two lanes in each direction with a concrete barrier in the middle. The speed limit is 40 mph. Heavy trucks and buses are prohibited in the tunnel.
 
 

 
• The following ramps are now closed: westbound I-94 to Washington/Broadway Avenue; eastbound I-94 to southbound Interstate 35W.
 

• Beginning Sunday, crews will open eastbound Highway 110 between Interstate 35E and Interstate 494. This will also include the opening of the loop ramp from Minnesota Highway 3/Robert Street to eastbound I-494 in Mendota Heights.

 
 
• Heads up. Starting Monday, westbound Highway 110 will close between I-494 and I-35E.
 
 

• Beginning 7 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday, northbound Highway 169 will be closed from Minnesota Highway 7 to Minnesota Highway 55. Then, beginning noon Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, southbound Highway 169 will be closed from Minnesota Highway 55 to Highway 7.
 
 

• From 10 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday, the ramps from Cedar Lake Road to southbound Highway 169 and from southbound Highway 169 to southbound Cedar Lake Road will be closed.
 

 
• From 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, the ramps from Betty Crocker Drive to southbound Highway 169 and from southbound Highway 169 to Betty Crocker Drive will be closed.
