Van Morrison out with new album

Today's Morning Edition is from guitarist Jeff Beck, a guest performer on Van Morrison's interpretation of the Sam Cooke song "Bring it on Home to Me."
It's one of the tracks on Morrison's new album "Roll With the Punches," which comes out Friday. The album features five original songs and 10 cover versions of blues and soul classics.
When asked why he recorded so many songs written by other artists, Morrison said, "I was a performer before I started writing songs, and I've always felt like that's what I do."
