"I Just Can't Stop Loving You" was No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart 30 years ago this week.
It was the first single from Michael Jackson's "Bad" album.
He initially asked Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston to sing the duet with him but they declined. Siedah Garrett says that producer Quincy Jones summoned her to the recording studio, but didn't explain why. It wasn't until she walked into the room that she found out that she would be singing with Jackson.
