Police have lifted a brief lockdown at the Eden Prairie Center where officers received a report of a person with a weapon on Tuesday.

According to a statement by the Eden Prairie Police Department, a mall employee told officers that a man carrying a gun case had entered Scheels with the intent of having his firearm serviced.

The man left the mall after being informed that there are no gun services at that Scheels location.

In the statement, police thanked the mall's management, employees and shoppers for their cooperation and for providing information needed for officers to determine there was no threat.
