St. Paul police have released new details of a vehicle that critically injured a cyclist in a hit-and-run early Sunday morning.

Police say the vehicle that struck Jose Hernandez Solano was a platinum sage colored Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with damage on the front end and a missing mirror and dark colored rims. Police posted photos of the vehicle on its Facebook page.

According to police, Solano was riding with a light and had the right of way when the vehicle ran a red light and struck Solano at West 7th and Grand Avenue.

Police say the driver stopped briefly, then sped away.
