Economists size up the economy at year's end

Louis Johnston and Chris Farrell recently sized up the condition of the economy at year's end, and looked into the crystal ball. What's happening to jobs, trade, wages, taxes, and the local, national and global economy?

Johnston is a professor of economics at St. John's University and the College of St. Benedict. He's a regular commentator for Minnesota Public Radio and his blog can be found at LouisJohnston.com/blog.

Farrell is senior economics contributor for APM's Marketplace, for Minnesota Public Radio News and Wisconsin Public Radio. He's a regular columnist for the Star Tribune and Next Avenue. Farrell is a graduate of Stanford and the London School of Economics.
