Through the first six days of April, temperatures are averaging 15 to 20 degrees colder than normal around Minnesota.
The outlook for April continues to favor cooler than normal temperatures and mixtures of rain and snow for much of the month.
So patience will be required by gardeners and farmers this spring. Retired University of Minnesota climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley discusses weather trends with Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer.
