The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close Interstate 35W northbound Wednesday night into Thursday morning between Minnesota Highway 62 and Interstate 94.

The closure, part of MnDOT's Downtown to Crosstown project, starts at 10 p.m. Wednesday night through 5 a.m. Thursday. The department also plans to close southbound I-35W on that same stretch Thursday night into early Friday morning.

MnDOT said later that a planned two-month closure of the ramp from I-94 west to 11th Street in Minneapolis will start on Monday.
