Man dies more than a week after Forada assault

Douglas County sheriff's officials say they're investigating the death of a man who was found beaten outside a bar in Forada more than a week ago.

Authorities say first responders were called to rural Alexandria Sunday where 46-year-old Steven Hlinsky was found unresponsive and not breathing at his home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office says Hlinsky was found bleeding from the nose and ear outside the Muddy Boot bar in Forada about 1 a.m. on May 5th. He was taken to Douglas County Hospital and later airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital. He was released from the hospital last Friday.

Deputies say they're interviewing individuals who were at the bar at the time Hlinsky was assaulted.

An autopsy will be done by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.
