A 63-year-old Twin Cities man died Saturday when his motorcycle struck a guardrail along a western Wisconsin highway.
The Pepin County Sheriff's Office reported that the crash happened at about 2:10 p.m. on Wisconsin Highway 35 along the Mississippi River, about 2 miles north of Stockholm.
Daniel Folsom of Richfield, Minn., was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office reported that Folsom was traveling north on Highway 35 when his Harley-Davidson struck a guardrail; Folsom was ejected from the motorcycle.
Authorities said speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The crash happened as thousands of motorcyclists took part in the annual Fall Flood Run fundraiser along the Mississippi and Saint Croix rivers on Saturday.
