Authorities are investigating a possible rash of dog poisonings in Rice Lake.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says it has received several reports in the past month of dogs that have become sick without a clear reason. The pets of at least two owners have died.
Authorities say there's no connection between the dog owners who have reported incidents, and the affected homes are not all near another.
The sheriff's office is telling pet owners to be alert for anything suspicious and to keep their dogs close by. They're also asking anyone with information to come forward.
