Get ready for the holiday: What's open on Thanksgiving, Black Friday?

It's about the time to get ready for the fights — against food cravings and for the best Black Friday deals.

But are you sure that you got all the ingredients for your favorite stuffing? Have you figured out how early you should roll out of bed to get in line on Black Friday morning?

Here's a list of stores with adjusted hours for Thanksgiving and Black Friday to help your holiday shopping plan.

For last-minute grocery shopping

Target: The Minneapolis-based retailer is opening all its Minnesota locations on Thanksgiving and the following day. All Target stores are open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Thanksgiving and starting at 7 a.m. on Black Friday. Friday night closing times vary based on location, which you can look up on its website.

Cub Foods: Most Cub Foods stores will open at their normal time and close at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Coon Rapids North, Minnetonka, Plymouth and Shakopee locations are closed; Alexandria, Baxter and Brainerd stores close at noon; Its Buffalo location will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight; and the Mankato East, Mankato West, Northfield and Rochester stores will operate under normal hours on Thanksgiving.

Whole Foods: All seven locations in Minnesota are open extended hours Wednesday for your late-night pre-Thanksgiving grocery shopping: They're open until 11 p.m. in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Maple Grove and Edina, and until 10 p.m. in Woodbury and Minnetonka. All store locations will open at their normal hour and close at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. They will get back to regular hours on Black Friday.

For Black Friday sales

BestBuy: Best Buy opens up its Black Friday deals at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Stores close at 1 a.m. and reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

Mall of America: The biggest shopping center in the country shuts its door again on Thanksgiving. It reopens at 5 a.m. on Friday to welcome the influx of Black Friday shoppers.

Rosedale Center: Rosedale Center open is open 6 p.m. until midnight Thanksgiving evening. It will reopen on the Black Friday morning at 7 a.m.

Southdale Center: The mall in Edina is adjusting its hours for both late-night and early-morning shoppers. It opens at 5 p.m. Thursday and closes at 1 a.m. Friday morning. For early birds, the store reopens its door at 6 a.m. on Black Friday and stays open until 10 p.m.

Twin Cities Premium Outlets: The outlet mall in Eagan stays open from 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving to 10 p.m. Friday night. It also operates extended hours on Saturday for those who missed Black Friday from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Rochester, St. Cloud, Mankato: Many shopping malls in greater Minnesota are also joining the celebrations. Apache Mall in Rochester and Crossroads Center in St. Cloud run their holiday hours on Thanksgiving from 6 p.m. to midnight and Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mankato's River Hills Mall is open 6 p.m. to midnight on Thanksgiving, and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Miller Hill Mall in Duluth: For those living up north, Miller Hill Mall in Duluth stays open until 1 a.m. from 5 p.m. Thanksgiving evening and reopens at 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Bus/light rail trains

On Thanksgiving, Metro Transit buses and light rail trains will run under holiday schedules. The routes continue reduced service on Friday, except for the Red Line, which operates under its normal weekday service. You can check holiday schedules for buses and trains at Metro Transit's website.
