Part 1: Journalist Mark Bowden, author of "Hue 1968: A Turning Point of the American War in Vietnam." Mike interviewed Mark Bowden in November 2017. Bowden also authored "Blackhawk Down."
Part 2: Native American writer James Welch, author of "Heartsong of Charging Elk" and "Killing Custer." Mike interviewed James Welch on the MIDDAY program on Aug. 21, 2000. James Welch died in 2003.
