Belle Plaine police said a 15-year-old "straight A student" who did not return home after leaving Belle Plaine High School Tuesday night has been found.
Police issued an alert after the boy was last seen leaving the high school at 9 p.m. Tuesday following a track meet in Le Sueur, Minn. He did not return home on Tuesday night and did not show up at school Wednesday morning.
Late Wednesday night, police said the boy had been found safe.
